After reforming under new management, Telltale Games later clarified that they no longer possess the license for Game of Thrones, as is the case with many of their games. The sequel was announced on November 20th, 2015, during an exclusive interview with Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner for the Hollywood Reporter.įollowing the news of Telltale Games' closure on 21st September 2018, Season Two was cancelled. Season Two would have served as a sequel to the 2014-15 series "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series", but is not currently in development. Game of Thrones: Season Two was a series based on HBO's Game Of Thrones television series and was intended to take place in that continuity.
